Are you looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine? Look no further. Giovanni, Peppe (the owners) and his crew got you covered. Before visiting Mio Dio (means My God), of course I read the previous reviews. There was not a single review that scared me, what a nice sign.

To keep it short – I am insanely and utterly in love. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone if I could, I would go here every week. The atmosphere was cozy and the interior welcoming/unique. Relatively fast service even though it was a full house. A MUST TRY is their starter “Pizza fritta” 10,5€ (fried pizza filled with ricotta and topped with caramelized red onion) and bruschetta (best one I’ve had in my life!). The fried pizza might not sound tempting, but you are in for the most pleasant surprise.

A carbonara is always a safe choice – so we ordered that. I have been to Italy. I remember what fresh pasta tastes like, the feeling of being well taken care of at a restaurant and the smell of true authenticity. BAAM! That is exactly what this carbonara made me feel. Not to mention, it was not too heavy, perfectly salted, excellently fried guanciale and just enough of pepper and parmesan taste. This was the best carbonara of my entire life.
As Giovanni had the service mind of top class, he kindly accepted my tailor made pizza request. I wanted mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, mortadella pistacchio pesto, pistacchio flakes, extra burrata and parmaham. If you want tasteful pizzas with a gorgeous crust? Mio Dio is for you.

All this food surely filled us up, but what is life without dessert? A scroppino + straweberry scroppino + lava cake later, I almost rolled out of the door. Both of the scroppinos were out of this world and would fit perfect on a warm summer’s day. The lava cake came with both whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. Those flavour combinations blew my mind! So moisty, so divine. Uff.

This is not a recommendation, this is a demand.
MIO DIO has to be next on your devour list!!!

The only slightly negative note I have, is that it was a bit too crowded, loud and tiny. I hope in the nearest future that they will expand their eating area so more people can enjoy their business.

What a lovely little restaurant! Pizza and paste are fantastic. The pizza chef was very sweet and thoughtful. He made the baby pizza with a bunny shape for our son. I also like the style and decoration of the restaurant. Clean and cozy. Kudos to the owner's taste!

Nobu Uchi

オランダでありながら、イタリア並みの美味しさ。窯でやいたマルゲリータも、スパゲッティ・ボロネーゼも美味で、スタッフの対応も気持ちが良いです。

GRIZZLY Desmet

Je komt binnen, en ziet meteen de pizza oven in werking. Met daarvoor de Italiaanse kok die gepassioneerd de pizza's voorbereid. Het team is een wel geoliede machine die vriendelijk je met een smile bediend. Ik heb alleen een pizza besteld, en die was heerlijk op traditionele wijze bereid. Ook van smaak en keuzes was ik aangenaam verrast.
Een totale aanrader in dit sfeervol restaurant.

Heerlijke pizza, zeker een aanrader. Ingredienten van hoge kwaliteit, als je San Marzano tomaaten leest, weet je al dat het lekker gaat worden. De Burrata is ook super romig, vaak is ie niet zo vers. Service was ook super aardig en snel. En Swinckels is sowieso altijd een plus. De antipasti vonden we helaas iets minder, voor 25€ kregen we maar wat olijven, tomaat en italiaanse worst met brood. Zou ik niet meer bestellen. En ook het geluid vonden we erg. Je moet eigenlijk de hele tijd schreeuwen, anders versta je niks. En als iedereen schreeuwt wordt het natuurlijk nog luider. Hier zouden wat geluidsdemper en gordijnen wel kunnen helpen voor een aangenamere sfeer.

Supergezellig sfeertje. Zowel buiten als binnen! We werden in het Italiaans begroet toen we binnen kwamen, en dat maakt het voor mij extra leuk verwelkomen. De menukaart is niet heel erg groot, waardoor het voor mij, als moeilijke kiezer, een stuk makkelijker maakt om te kunnen kiezen. Heel fijn! We hoefden niet lang te wachten, en kregen een heerlijke voortreffelijke met liefde gemaakte pizza onder ons neus geschoven. Echt perfectto buonissima.
Echt een aanrader voor een heerlijke Pizza. En wij komen zeker vaker genieten bij jullie.

Ohhhh we've been hungry as he'll but both the pizzas were superb!!! Honestly one of the best I've been eating. Sorry bylut google only give 5* and you should have 6* ?
